Steve Wells June 9, 1951 – July 23, 2021 Steve Wells, 70 of Lucama passed away Friday. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Bailey Cemetery, Bailey. The Rev. Wayne Whitley will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Susan Skinner Wells of the home; daughter, Stephanie Miller and husband, Walter; grandsons, Tyler Miller and fiancé, Rebekah Edwards, and Dylan Miller; sister, Blanche Carpenter; aunts, Harriett Pittman and Florence “Frog” Webb, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Bonnie and Lettie Carpenter Wells; sisters, Janet Wells, Lucy Jane Braswell, and baby Linda Wells, and his brothers, Herman “Ed” Wells, Willy “Bill” Lee Wells, Bonnie “Shorty” Ray Wells, Mack Wells, and baby Johnny Gray Wells.
