Susan Faison Boykin February 8, 1949 – September 3, 2021 Susan Faison Boykin, 72 of Bailey passed away Friday. Her memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 13, 20201 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Pastor Joe Shakour will officiate. Susan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and baking her famous pecan pies. Susan was a kind and caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Susan is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Thelbert D. Boykin, Jr. of the home; sons, Jonathan Boykin and wife, Zoe Dorton Boykin of Raleigh, and Matthew Boykin and wife, Abby Boykin of Nashville; grandchildren, Avery Boykin, Jonathan Alexander “Alex” Boykin, Bryson Boykin, Conner Boykin; and her aunt, Eloise Hibbs of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther “Buck” Faison and Claudia Lewis Faison; brother, William “Bill” Henry Faison; sister, Gloria F. Bunn; niece, Kelly B. Scott and her great-nephew, Craig Scott.
