Teresa Ann Creech Medlin

Teresa Anne Creech Medlin was born October 16, 1946, to “Buddie” and Beaulah Creech. She grew up as farmer’s daughter with her big brother Eddie Ray in Southern Nash County. As a teenager their family welcomed a sweet baby girl Jeanette Lynn Creech. Teresa was a graduate of Bailey High School where she met and married her high school sweetheart, James Donald Medlin in 1965. She began her career at BB&T then transitioned to Murphy Manufacturing where she worked for several years. During this time, she had her two children and spent more time helping her husband and family on the farm. As her children got older, she began working at Wilson Technical Community College as an administrative assistant in the Division on Continuing Education. She was very dedicated to her position as she was able to help others by encouraging the students to continue their education to better themselves and to achieve their goals. While employed at the college, she worked hard to obtain her Associates Degree in Applied Science with a focus in Office Systems Technology. She retired from Wilson Tech in the early 2000s.

Teresa loved people, especially her friends, relatives, and church family. She enjoyed spending time gardening, bird watching and traveling. Teresa was an active and long-time member of White Oak Hill FWB Church where she served in multiple areas. She was a beloved Sunday School teacher for over twenty-five years and also served in various roles of the women’s ministries. In her later years she enjoyed slowing down and going on trips with the Senior Saints or better known as the “Sunshine Club.” Teresa adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and would try to attend as many of their activities as she was able.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, James Donald Medlin; daughter, Melisa Belcher and husband, Jerry; son, James Medlin and wife, Leiha; granddaughters, Logan Medlin and Anna Bass and husband, Randy; grandsons, Benjamin Belcher, Christopher Belcher, David Belcher, and Luke Medlin; great-grandchildren, Conner, Colten, Rachel and Anakin; brother, Eddie Creech and wife, Emily, and her loving extended family, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddie and Beaulah Creech and her sister, Jeanette Demery.
