Thomas Dred Davis

Thomas “Tommy” Dred Davis, 78, of Wilson passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Marsh Swamp FWB Church Cemetery, Sims. Rev. Kelley Smart and Rev. Ray Wells will officiate.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of Kristi.

Thomas served his country with honor with the US Army during Vietnam. He worked for Parker’s BBQ for over forty years.

Thomas is survived by his daughter Kristi Davis and Tommy Faulkner of Wilson; granddaughter, Jordan Umphlett and husband, Taylor of Wilson; grandson, Thomas Ellis of Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren, Sydney Umphlett and Edith Umphlett; sisters, Sandra Hodge and husband, Allen of Garner and Joyce Bissette of Columbia, South Carolina and his sister-in-law, Joyce Lynn Davis of Rocky Mount.

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Deans Davis; parents, Dred and Ruth Davis; sister, Linda Davis and his brother, Guy Davis.
