Venise Ann Poole Skinner

Venise Ann Poole Skinner, 61, of Wilson passed away Monday, August 10, 2026. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, August 15, 2026, from 1 – 2 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:15 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Venise was an amazing and loving wife, mom, grandmother, sister, loyal friend. She loved bird watching, cross stitching and serving her Lord. Venise was also a fighter. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed and thought of often with memories that will make you smile.

Venise is survived by her husband, Ricky Skinner; daughter, Vanessa Gonzalez and husband, Marcelino; step-son, Joseph Skinner and wife, Kenzie; grandchildren, Angel Gonzalez, Harmony Taylor and Brantley Skinner; sisters, Lucille Poole and Dorothy “Dot” Turner and her brother, Rudolph Poole and wife, Linda.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jose Pacheco; parents, “Buddy” and Lucille Poole and her sisters, Carolyn Griffin and Deborah Moore.
