Verlin Thomas “Whistle” Hill, 50, of Spring Hope passed away Monday.  The family will receive friends 6 – 9 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. “Whistle” is survived by his wife, Lynn Cannon Hill of the home; his daughters, Jordan A. Hill of the home, Candace Walston of Littleton and Chelsea Walston of the home; his brother, George Forrest Hill of Virginia; his niece, Heather H.
