Virginia Finn Ellis

Virginia Ellis, 89, passed away August 28, 2025. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2025. A  private graveside service will be at Good News Church Cemetery with Jacky Raper officiating.

Virginia was born on January 17, 1936, to Percy and Minnie Finn.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Ellis, Sr. and son, Paul Drew Ellis.

Virginia is survived by her son, Johnny Joyner and wife, Pam of Wilson; daughter, Cathern Secor of Benson; grandchildren, Nicole Joyner of Fayetteville and John Ellis of Sanford, Florida.

Virginia ran the Paul Drew Respite Care Center for Handicapped Children in Gainesville, Florida for many years giving much needed breaks to parents of handicapped children.
