Vivian Walston Harrell

Vivian Walston Harrell, 95, of Wilson, passed away on Friday, May 12.  A graveside Entombment service will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at 3:30 pm at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2800 Nash Street N, Wilson, NC.  Family will receive friends immediately following the service at Evergreen Memorial Park.

Vivian served her community through her work as an LPN at Carolina General Hospital and Wilson Medical Center for 28 years. 

Vivian is survived by her son, Douglas Harrell of Wilson; granddaughters, Robin Johnson (Bobby) of Wilson, and Suzanne Thomas of Atlanta, GA; grandson, Jason Thomas (Allison) of Snow Hill; great-grandchildren, Cameron Johnson, Logan Johnson, Wilkes Thomas, Jack Thomas, and Alli George Thomas; and many very special nieces, nephews, and great-granddogs.

Vivian was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Harrell; parents, Jepsie and Beulah Walston; and eleven siblings.  

The family wishes to thank the many caregivers at Wilmed Rehab and Nursing, Gentiva Hospice, and especially Mary Helen Schaubhuth.
