Warren Calvin "Shep" Shepard

Warren Calvin “Shep” Shepard, 101, of Wilson, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family Wednesday. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 100 Green Street NE, Wilson, North Carolina, 27893 on Monday, March 7, 2022. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Rev. Jim Bell will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, from 6-8 p.m.

Shep loved his family and friends dearly and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him in his 101 years on this earth. Shep was an avid Duke Blue Devils fan, he worked for over 73 years at Stephenson Millwork, was a member of the Wilson Cemetery Commission, was a part of the Exchange Club and was a Quarter Master on the USS Riddle.

Shep is survived by his daughter, Scarlett St.Angelo and husband, Eddie of Sebastian, Florida and granddaughter, Kara Cabessa of Brooklyn, New York.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris Lee Taylor Shepard and son, Warren Calvin Shepard, Jr.
