Wayne Cox Bartley, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather (known affectionately as "Gar" to his grandchildren), passed away peacefully on October 31st at the age of 87. He passed away at his daughter's home in North Carolina, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 11, 1938, in Richmond, Virginia, to Marvin and Francis (Cox) Bartley, Wayne spent his early years in Newport News, Virginia, before his family relocated to Natick, Massachusetts. After graduating from Natick High School, he joined the Army National Guard and earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. He proudly served for forty years in the Massachusetts Army National Guard, retiring as a Command Sergeant Major. He also had a long career as an electrical engineer at Microwave Development Labs (MDL), where he eventually retired.

In 1962, Wayne married the love of his life, Jean (Isabel Cotter). They settled in Framingham, where they raised their three children. He missed her dearly every day since her passing in 2018.

Wayne and Jean loved to travel together, taking many trips to Europe and visiting almost every state in the United States. They cherished their annual drives to Florida for winter while stopping at their favorite spots along the way as they drove the back roads to Florida. They spent their summers in Wells, Maine making many family memories.

Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Isabel Jean (Cotter), and his parents, Marvin and Francis (Cox) Bartley.

He is survived by his brother, Lynn and his wife, Rachel Bartley; his daughter, Sheryl Nicoletti, and her husband, Ed; his sons, Steven, and his wife, Jocelyn, and Douglas, and his wife, Ann. He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren, Tyler and his wife, Ashley Nicoletti, Emily Bartley, Olivia Bartley and her fiancé, Zack, Hannah Nicoletti and her fiancé Aidan, and Gianna Bartley, as well as his grand-golden retriever, Hank.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
