William "Billy" Robert O'Briant

William "Billy” Robert O’Briant, 78, of Walstonburg passed away Monday, October 13, 2025. A celebration of Billy’s life will be held at a later date.

Billy attended Fike High School, and he served his country with honor and pride with the US Army Airborne Division and served two tours in Vietnam.

Billy is survived by his daughters, Melissa O’Briant Poole and Amanda Whitley; grandchildren, William Cranford, Elizabeth Cranford, and Makayla Vick; great-grandchildren, Jason Tanner, and Aralyn Cranford, and his siblings, Wynona Adams, David O’Briant, Kathy Smith, Darlene Hylton, Robin O’Briant, John O’Briant, and Joan May.

He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-four years, Georgia O’Briant, parents, Sarah and Smiley O’Briant and his brothers, Jerry Brown and Bobby Tyndall.
