William "Boz" Elbert Glover

William “Boz” Elbert Glover 96, of Bailey passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 11:00am, at the Bailey Town Cemetery in Bailey, NC.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Joyner’s funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Prky W, Wilson, NC from 6:00-8:00pm.

William was owner and operator of Glover Milling Company for many years. Loved by all who knew him, the community often referred to him as the “Mayor of Greenpond”.  William was a member of the Masons and was past Master of the Bailey Lodge. He also was a member of the Sudan Temple and was a member of the Horse Patrol. William served his country with distinction in the United States Coast Guard.

William is survived by his sons Mike and wife Hope, Jimmy and Nancy, both of Bailey; grandchildren, Amy Glover Brewer and husband Ryan, Tiffany Glover, Jay Glover and wife Brittany, Jonathan Glover, and Jeremy Glover; great grandchildren, Michael Brewer, Abby Brewer, Ethan Glover, Carson Glover, and Welles Glover.

William was preceded in death by his wife and best friend, Myrtle Rowe Glover.
