William Earl Williamson March 20, 1927 – May 30, 2020 William Earl “Bud” Williamson, 93 of Wilson passed away Saturday. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson with visitation following. The Rev. Julie Matthews will officiate. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects Monday afternoon from 12 – 5 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. “Bud” was a former employee of Stephenson’s Mill Work and Thermo-King. He loved to farm and spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and a friend to all that knew him. “Bud” was greatly loved and will be thought of often with wonderful memories. “Bud” is survived by his daughters, Sandra “Sandy” Ellen Williamson of Wilson, and Sue Williamson Nichols and husband, Tim of Wilson; his grandchildren, Jennifer Carraway Penny and husband, Brian, Timothy Carraway and wife, Courtney, David Helms and wife, Amanda, and Beth Gudac and husband, Gary; step-grandchildren, Michelle Nichols Lee and husband, Steve, and Joshua Nichols and wife, Leigh Anne; eight great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren and his sister, Texie Virginia Williamson Howden of Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, LaRue High Williamson of seventy-three years; son, Kenneth Earl Williamson; parents, Wiley Glaucus and Sudie Marie Williams Williamson; sisters, Doreatha Williamson Witek, Sudie Gray Williamson Pridgen and Phyllis Knight and his brothers, Wiley Clinton Williamson, Carsie Lee Williamson and Walter Lee Williamson.
