William Bobby Ferrell, 84, of Wilson, passed away Tuesday. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Little Rock Free Will Baptist Church, 6115 Little Rock Church Road, Lucama. Rev. Kelley Smart will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the Heritage Hall.
Bobby is survived by his loving companion of 32 years, Bonnie T. Murphy; daughters, Amy M. Hannen and husband, Stan of Cary, Karen Alger and husband, Dan of Greensboro; grandchildren, Matthew Ellenson, Cole Hannen, Vee Hannen, Elias Alger and Silas Alger; sisters, Sandra F. Joyner and husband, Eddie of Lucama, Sylvia Watson and husband, Tim of Lucama and Yvonne Hedgepeth of Lucama; brother, Tony Ferrell and wife, Sandra of Elm City. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thell and Pennie Ferrell.
Bobby retired from Kraft Foods, Mello Buttercup and Ryder Truck Rentals. He was a long-time member of Wilson Moose Lodge 989 and Legion of the Moose, Masonic Lodge 712 and Wilson County Shrine Club. He enjoyed his association with the Monster Truck Unit of Sudan Temple. Bobby was also an avid NASCAR fan.
