William Frank Johnson, Jr.

William Frank Johnson, Jr., 91, of Wilson, passed away Wednesday. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Rev. Charles Robl will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 1 – 2 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Betty Hales Johnson of the home; daughters, Katherine "Kit" J. Bunn of Wilson and Jennifer Pitchford and husband, Kyle, of Greenville; son, William Franklin Johnson III of Morehead; stepdaughter, Belinda Dale Phelps of Raleigh; stepson, Leonard Dewey Phelps III of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Trip Bunn, Josh Bunn, Alex Johnson, Carson Johnson and Parker Pitchford; great granddaughters, Reagan and Avery Bunn; great grandsons, Ryan and JC Bunn; step granddaughters, Denise Leerkes and husband, Thomas; step great granddaughter, Olivia of Benson, Jennifer Beichner and husband, Andy, of Wilson and Stephanie Locklear and husband, Jonathan; step great grandsons, Rickey Locklear and Judah Locklear of Woodhaven, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Singletary Johnson; parents, William and Louise Johnson and daughter, Suzanne Johnson.
