Willie Joseph "Pete" Denton

Willie “Pete” Denton, 69, of Wilson passed away on Sunday, September 3.  Family will receive friends on Friday, September 8 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the Denton’s residence.

Pete is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Morris Denton; daughter, Candace Casey and husband, Jared and their children, Benny and Maddy of Wilson; sisters, Eleanore D. Jones and husband, Donald “Don” Jones of Wilson and Debbie D. Winecoff and husband, Craig of Graham; brother-in-law, Allen Murray of Middlesex; and many nieces and nephews.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Erma Oriente Denton; sisters, Sharon D. Whitley and husband, David, and Eloise D. Murray; and brother, Robert Denton.
