Willie Howard Jones July 7, 1935 – July 28, 2021 Willie “Buck” Howard Jones, 86 of Wilson passed away Wednesday. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson, with the family receiving friends following the service in the cemetery. The Rev. Tommy Hagan and Rev. Bobby Heath will officiate. Buck was the owner and operator of Buck’s Western Saloon and was associated with WGTM for twenty-seven years. He was gifted musician and singer who shared his talents with many. “Buck” is survived by his son, Christopher Bryan Jones and wife, Cherie of Willow Spring; step-grandson, Tyler Tackett of Garner; former wife and caregiver for the last two and half years, Malisa Burch Baker; sister, Mary Jones Pope; best friend for over forty-five years, Trudy Lamm; close friends, Ken Ballance and wife, Christy and Brian Ballance and wife, Renee and their children, Haley Ballance, Hayden Ballance, Kameron Ballance, and Xavier Ballance. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Minnie Mae Harris Jones, and his significant other, Delia Ann Creech Ballance.
