Yvonne Everitte Shanks Stacy May 6, 1950 – October 28, 2021 Yvonne “Bonnie” Evevitte Shanks Stacy, 71 of Wilson passed away peacefully Thursday surrounded by her family. A private service for the family will be held at a later date. Yvonne was a graduate of Parkton High School, UNC Greensboro, and Post-Graduate of Rutgers University. She was a retired Professor of Business with Barton College. Yvonne was also an avid gardener. Yvonne is survived by her sister, Shelia McClain and husband, Ben of Spring, Texas; brother, Oscar Frank Everitte, Jr. and wife, Karen of Mebane; granddaughter, Lillian “Lily” Frances Shanks of Petersborough, Ontario; seventeen grand nieces and nephews, and special furry companion, Susannah. She was preceded in death parents, Oscar Frank Everitte, Sr., and Rachel Owens Everitte, and her brother, Robert Wayne Everitte. The family would like to express their gratitude to Wilson Community Hospice and Rev. Tim Hopkins for their care and compassion.
