Robert John Singer
June 22, 1934 – August 12, 2018

Robert John Singer, 84, of Wilson passed away Sunday. A Mass Christian burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Therese, 700 Nash Street, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.

A Rosary Service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson with the family receiving friends till 7 p.m.

Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father, great-great grandfather, and a friend to all who knew him. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Marjorie Singer of the home; his daughters, Sherry Culbreth and husband, Clay of Southern Pines, Janet Cook and husband, Larry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Peggy Parker and husband, Tony of Yukon, Oklahoma, Shelley White and husband, Lanny of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Marjorie Campbell and husband, Jim of Concord; thirteen grandchildren: twenty-four great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kelly Jo Campbell; grandson, Ricky Winters; great-great-grandson, Sterling Gerber; parents, Howard and Fenton Singer; sister, Kay Lull, and his brother, Howard “Bud” Williams.
