Barbara Bowen Renfrow December 15, 1933 – June 10, 2020 Barbara Bowen Renfrow, 86 of Wilson passed away Wednesday. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The family will receive immediately following the service. The Rev. Jack Stone will officiate. Barbara was born on December 15, 1933 and was raised in Nash County. She enjoyed many years being a homemaker and mother. Barbara’s passion was working as the office manager for over twenty-five years at Wilson Woods Town Homes, where she was able to help so many families with their housing needs, she loved Steve Powell for giving her the employment opportunity all these years. Barbara made many friends at Wilson Woods. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all who knew her. Barbara will be thought of often with wonderful memories that will make you smile. Special thanks to Dr. Burdick, Dr. Satterfield and Dr. Wechter for providing great care the last few years. The family would also like to say thank you to the Landing for making her feel loved and at home for the last four years. Playing bingo and passing out Hershey bars made her day. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Burris and husband, David of Rocky Mount; son, Gary Vick of Wilson; granddaughters, April Suter of Jacksonville, Florida and Ella Burris of Rocky Mount; grandson, Garrison Vick of Wilson and her brother, Mac Bowen of Clayton. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in Barbara’s memory to Emery’s Place, c/o Wilson Praise and Worship, 202 Nash Street, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
