Betty Jean Creech Johnson January 12, 1940 – May 28, 2021 Betty Jean Creech Johnson, 81 of Middlesex passed away Friday. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Moore’s Chapel Cemetery, 12424 NC Hwy 42, Kenly. Bishop Danny Nelson and Pastor David West will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10 – 10:45 a.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. For thirty-two years, Betty Jean was a teacher assistant at Glendale Kenly Elementary School. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She was a faithful and longtime member of Moore’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Betty Jean will always be remembered and thought of often with loving memories. Betty Jean is survived by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Donald Sebastian Johnson; sons, Gregory Johnson and wife, Susan of Wilson, and Roger Johnson and wife, Becky of Middlesex; granddaughters, Tabitha Johnson Pate and husband, David of Kenly, and Meghan Johnson Brown and husband, Michael of Middlesex; grandsons, Adam Johnson and partner Molly Phillips of Clayton, and David Johnson and wife, Amber of Cary; great-grandchildren, Tinsley Summer Pate of Kenly, and Aubrey Kate Brown of Middlesex; sisters, Martha Creech Spencer and husband, Kent of Wilson, Virginia “Gin” Creech Price of Lucama, and Carol Creech of Selma, and her brother, Steve Creech and wife, Edna of Selma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Miggie Nancy Stallings Creech, and her sister, Virgie Lou Creech Johnson.
