Joseph “Joe” Henry Coleman, 57 of Nashville passed away early Saturday morning with his loving family by his side. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. During this time of Covid facial mask/coverings are welcomed.
Joe was a loving husband, dad, poppi, brother, uncle, nephew and friend to all who knew him. He was a joy to be around. Joe loved his family and friends and would do anything he could to help you with whatever and whenever you needed help.
Joe worked as a Paramedic for over sixteen years and with Tobacco Rags in Wilson for several years and then decided he wanted to help families, so he went to school and received his Associate Degree and became a full service licensed funeral director and embalmer. He was in the funeral industry for over ten years. Joe enjoyed his job and helping his families. He loved to cut grass, fishing off the pier and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and co-workers and will be thought of often with wonderful memories. Joe had been with Joyner’s Funeral Home for a little over three months. He was a pleasure to work with; his knowledge and kindness and loving care was always transferred to our families that needed him. He will be greatly missed by his family at Joyner’s.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Toni Joyner Coleman; son, Joseph Thomas Coleman and wife, Brittany; daughter, Kimberly Ann Coleman; his granddaughter, Hayden Paige Coleman who was his whole heart, his baby girl and he as her Poppi; mother, Louise Carpenter Coleman; his brothers, David Coleman and wife, Mary, Wayne Coleman and wife, Donna, Richard Coleman and wife, Lisa and Ernie Coleman and wife, Gloria; several nieces and nephews and cousins; in-laws, Braxton and Margaret Joyner; brother-in-law, Ricky Joyner and wife, Karen and his sister-in-law, Debbie Joyner Beecham and husband, Chris.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Henry Coleman; grandparents and several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
